Payet

Good on the ball but hope he is not going to prove to be just a luxury player.

Was told by many in France that he goes missing most of the time. Hope they are wrong. In his defence, he can't do it alone

Re: Payet

Collectively we are weak attacking wise.
Nolan - past it Sahko - can,t do it on his own Noble - not really an attacker but clearly not good enough Payet - not impressed so far. Amalfitano is a bigger threat IMO Kouate - lanky clumsey doesn,t go forward enough
Who the fuck else we got. It's rubbish!

Absolute class. Has been involved in nearly everything goI'd hat we have done. Hard to see how he can affect the game while we sit back and play in our own half like we did for most of today.
If you can't see he is quality, then you're watching the wrong sport.

So instead of calling other people twats, whats your assesment of Payet then?
Not pulled any trees up yet has he? Some on here even compared him with Tevez - Ha Ha Ha Ha

He's scored or set up a goal in every league match so far. What more do you want?

Re: Payet

One of those players who can have a big impact on the game so he needs to get more involved and be on the ball more. He is not a "great" player.....yet.... but hopefully he will become one for us.

Re: Payet

Of course he's a luxury player, that's exactly what we bought him to be?
Yeh he goes quiet, but when gets the ball, he comes alive and always tries to make things happen.
Some people need to wind it in a bit. We're in a transition. Unfortunately we were left with a shit squad by Allardyce. Calm down. 1 in 3 is a better ratio than 3 in 20.

1964, you described Amalfitano as a bigger threat, you've already shown yourself up as clueless

Re: Payet

A luxury player is exactly what you don't need in a struggling side. No doubt he is very good on the ball but if he's not getting it then there will be question marks over his inclusion.
Could be that he, and the team, will actually prove to be better away from home this season.

I've been pretty impressed with him - do wish he'd try and be a bit more simple with the ball sometimes though.

I'd apply for the West Ham job mate, there may be a vacancy soon.

Ok then, how exactly has Amalfitano shown himself to be a bigger threat?

Re: Payet

Right - bigger threat may not be appropriate, but when he's played last year he was good on the ball, put a shift in by winning back lost balls and a not to shabby contribution to the team.
I like him. I am not yet sold on Payet, despite all the hype built up around him.

Seems there's a few on here that also liked Amalfitano, not just me.
Yet Bilic has outed him. Pratt!
